Bugatti Type 35 Blue.As you'll see from my description on the Ferrari 250 GTO, I just love how blue car/blue background works so well to highlight all the features, in this case especially the Radiator and cowling. Ayrton Senna Monaco 1984-David JohnsonIt's a race many F1 fans will remember. Run in heavy rain the 1984 Monaco GP was won by Alain Prost in his McLaren, his first Monaco victory, but the real hero of the race was Ayrton Senna. Starting 13th on the grid, he'd closed down Prost's lead, and passed him as they crossed the line, but they'd put out the red flag, meaning the result was taken at the end of the previous lap. But Ayrton Senna had 'arrived' in F1. Artist Signed, limited edition print. Ronnie Peterson by Craig WarwickThe late great Ronnie Peterson is the driver portrayed here by the superbly talented Craig Warwick. Ronnie lost his life after an accident in the 1978 Italian GP, cutting short the career of someone who was bound to go on to greater success, and quite possibly many World Championships. Ferrari-The First Grand Prix Victory by Nicholas Watts.The British Grand Prix, Silverstone 1951, and Ferrari achieve their first Grand Prix victory. Nicholas Watts depicts the tremendous battle between the eventual winner Jose Gonzalez, driving the Ferrari 375/F1 and Juan Fangio in the Alfa Romeo. Alan Fearnley 'Fangio'-Fangio SignedArguably the greatest driver of them all, Juan Manuel Fangio, is very nicely portrayed in Alan Fearnley's print, simply entitled, 'Fangio'. It shows Juan Manuel Fangio on his way to victory in the 1955 Argentine Grand Prix, followed by Ascari, Gonzales and Moss Driving the superb Mercedes W196. Summer of '54 by Nicholas WattsThe 1954 French Grand Prix marked the return of Mercedes to Grand Prix racing, and Nicholas Watts, as ever, has created a superb image showing the W196 cars of Juan Manuel Fangio and Karl Kling battling with the Ferrari of Jose Froilan Gonzalez. Fangio won the race ahead of Kling, but Gonzalez retired with engine trouble. Signed by the artist and both Juan Manuel Fangio AND Jose Froilan Gonzalez ! World Champions 1959 - Nicholas WattsNicholas Watts excellent print shows Jack Brabham accelerating his Cooper-Climax T51 away from Mirabeau to the Station Hairpin at Monaco, in 1959, followed by the Ferrari of Tony Brooks, who eventually finished second, and Trintignant in Rob Walker's Cooper. Jack was to win the race, his very first GP win, & the World Championship that year in the Cooper. Signed by the artist, Jack Brabham, and John Cooper. Partnered by Gijs van Lennep, they lead from start to finish averaging 15 laps per hour, giving Ickx his 3rd Le Mans victory and van Lennep his 2nd. Craig Warwick- 75 Years of MaseratiAs you probably notice I am a big fan of any work by the superbly talented, and much missed artist, Craig Warwick. John Surtees Cooper T81 1966This stunning print, drawn from an unusual angle that REALLY works, shows the late great John Surtees sat in his V12 Maserati engined Cooper T81. Rudolf Caracciola Monaco 1936A very wet Monaco Grand Prix 1936 is the scene for this lovely pencil print of Rudolf Caracciola driving the W25 Mercedes Benz to the limit despite the conditions, and rightfully winning the race. Gerhard Berger-Ferrari-Monaco 1994Another stunningly detailed pencil drawing by the very talented artist Alan Stammers. This time showing Austrian Gerhard Berger driving his V12 Ferrari 412 T1 to third place in the 1994 Monaco Grand Prix, in a race won by Michael Schumacher in the Benetton Ford. This was to be the first Grand Prix since the deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna at that year's Imola GP. Size :- 34" x 26" As new limited edition print, artist signed. Ayrton Senna Lotus 98T 1986-Alan StammersA stunning image of the late great Ayrton Senna driving the Lotus Renault 98T during the 1986 F1 Season by Alan Stammers. A long sold out Limited Edition print signed by the artist. Senna finished 4th overall in '86, which included two race wins, and 8 podium finishes in total. A photo cannot do this fantastic piece of Motor Racing Art justice, and if you are a Senna fan, it's a great piece of Memorabilia of the great man in a great looking car. Graham Hill by Craig WarwickI personally think Craig Warwick was one of the most talented artists of our time. He was able to create the image of the driver or rider's face to the same top standard as the car or bike they competed with, which is why much of his car racing works feature throughout the BRDC building at Silverstone. John Surtees World Champion 1964This image by Nicolas Watts, shows Surtees exiting the Adenau Bridge at the Nurburgring circuit, leading the Brabham of Dan Gurney, with Clarks' Lotus and the BRM of Graham Hill following behind.
