Firebrand-From The Cockpit-Eric Brown-Signed This is another excellent Ad Hoc Publications overview of historic aircraft, which largely cover British-built aircraft, mainly those that served with the Fleet Air Arm. English Electric Canberra by Bruce Pennymore Halfpenny This amazing aeroplane first flew in 1949, and wasn't retired until 2006 by the RAF ! It served in a variety of roles including those of medium conventional bomber, tactical nuclear bomber, photo-reconnaissance, night intruder, navigational trainer, maritime strike, electronic countermeasures, atomic cloud sampling and target-towing. A superb aircraft ! As new. The Memoirs of Field Marshall Earl Alexander of Tunis 1940-1945 This is a First Edition copy (1962) of a fantastic book illustrated by photos from Alexander's own albums,with maps providing graphic commentary to his narrative. Thought of as one of the greatest British fighting soldiers of all time ! Cover shows signs of wear, but the book is in very nice condition. Al flew in the Battle Of France and over Dunkirk before being a part of the Battle Of Britain. He went on to command a flight in 602 Squadron, command RAF Kenley, Biggin Hill and then to lead the 145 French Wing in France. A great character, with a great story to tell. Victory Fighters-Steve Darlow Victory Fighters is largely a collection of eyewitness accounts of the struggle that raged in the skies over occupied Europe after the Battle of Britain. * As new copy, signed by S.Darlow, Ian Blair DFM,Jack Linaker (9 Sqn), & E.Quinney who flew the Lancasters in the making of the Dambusters film. Price :- £15.00 +p+p	Onward To Malta-Tom Neil In very nice condition, this 1st edition hardback book, published in 1992, tells of Tom Neil's time as a Hurricane fighter pilot with 249 Squadron following the Battle of Britain, when they were ordered to Malta in April 1941. c/w a Tom Neil signed 'titled' white card. Price:- £35.00 +p+p.	The Blue Arena-Bob Spurdle Robert 'Bob' Spurdle was one of the New Zeland pilots that fought during WWII. Credited with 10 Victories during the war, Bob came over to the UK, and flew Spitfires with 74 Squadron initially. Later serving with 91 Sqn during the latter part of the Battle of Britain. He later joined 16 Sqn and fought in the Solomon Islands Campaign, returning to Europe with 80 Sqn to the war's end. Hardback Copy in very nice condition. Price :- £22.00 +p+p

This is an excellent book if you are interested in the subject matter, Dr. Nathan was an economist and scholar who held many important positions in the German government before the Nazi takeover in 1933. He left Germany at that time (1933) and went to the United States. Becoming a citizen he continued his career as an economist. Includes detailed information about the Nazi economic system.This information is VERY HARD TO FIND today. During Eric's lifetime, he made a record-breaking 2,407 aircraft carrier landings and survived eleven plane crashes. One of Britain's few German-speaking airmen, he went to Germany in 1945 to test the Nazi jets, interviewing (among others) Hermann Goering and Hanna Reitsch. A great read with very good reviews. Colditz The Full Story-P.R.Reid This great book is written by Pat Reid who was the Head Of The British Escape Commitee for a spell, and was one of the few to actually escape Colditz in October 1942, but it comes with a great dedication hand written by Pat possibly during the book launch, as per the photo attached, I believe to a fellow inmate from Colditz ! Living With Heroes by Harry Humphries There are 100s of books about 617 Squadron, but not many by someone who was there at the time. Harry Humphries was the 617 Adjutant from 1943-1945, hence the title :- 'Living With Heroes - The Story of the Dam Busters'. First Edition Hardback copy in lovely condition. Written by Norman Franks and a typically well put together book by the team at Osprey. Spreading My Wings-Signed Copy Diana Barnato Walker came from a very privileged background with a famous racing driver Father Woolf Barnato, but needed to 'escape' so took up flying at a young age. Diana became one of the first and best known female pilots in the ATA during WWII, and went on to fly after the war, becoming the first female to fly through the sound barrier in a Lightning in 1963. The Hurricane II Manual-1976 Version Now 45 years old, this very nice condition Hardback Copy of The Hurricane II Manual, comes signed by Philip G Lucas, who was a test pilot for the Hurricane, Typhoon and Tempest Aircraft, and then Hawker General Manager from 1946-1967, and Duncan Simpson who was a Hawker Test Pilot from 1954, & became Chief Test Pilot in 1970. Hess A Kiwi Malta Ace by James Sutherland A rare book to find in the UK, as published in New Zealand in April 2000. It tells the story of New Zealand born Raymond Brown Hesselyn who flew with 249 Squadron during the summer months of 1942 in Malta. Along with fellow squadron member George Beurling, they were to become a vital part of the aerial warfare over Malta with a total of 38 victories between them, Beurling being the highest scoring ace of the campaign with 26. Udet was a WWI Ace in the Luftwaffe, with 62 aerial victories, second only to his commander Manfred von Richthofen, and was the highest scoring German pilot to survive WWI. During WWII Udet was in charge of the purchase of all the aircraft etc for the Luftwaffe, a HUGE responsibility. His job was made so difficult early on during the War, that he decided to take his own life on 17 November 1941. A compelling read.
